Thousands of passengers were stranded at airports across the country today, as the standoff between the government and the workers of Indian Airlines continued late till the evening, giving no signs of respite for the stranded passengers. ANI

Patel terms flash strike by Indian Airlines unions as illegal and unwarranted
Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel today reviewed the flash strike by Unions of Indian Airlines Ltd and termed it as illegal and unwarranted, as negotiations and talks between the management; the union representatives and the Chief Labour Commissioner were at an advanced stage. The Government and the management of Indian Airlines have taken a very serious view of the situation. All steps including legal action are being considered. ANI
