The Winter session of the Andhra Pradesh assembly will be held for consecutive days starting December 1, 2011. The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) which met on November 30, 2011 decided to hold the winter session for five days even though the opposition were of the opinion that five days is not sufficient to discuss people's problems. The Telugu Desam Party has announced that it will move a no-confidence motion against the government on the first day of the winter session.

Day 1

The Winter session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly begins. The session begun with recital of the national anthem. The TDP legislators demanding a discussion on the no-confidence motion against the government, even when the Chief Minister was trying to pass the condolence motion of Independent MLA Rajeshwar Reddy. The house was adjourned for 10 minutes. After the session resumed, several MLAs paid respects to Rajeshwar Reddy and recalled his services. The house was adjourned after the condolence motion is passed.

Day 2

TDP demanded the discussion on no-confidence motion on day 2 in the Assembly, while TRS is firm on their demand for a resolution on separate Telangana State. The TRS party also served a no-confidence motion notice against the Government on Telangana issue. The session was adjourned thrice during the day and the Speaker has adjourned the session to Saturday.

Day 3

Speaker Nadendla Manohar admits the no-confidence motion against Kiran Kumar Reddy Government.

Day 4

Discussion and Debate on the no-confidence motion tabled by the Telugu Desam Party.

Day 5

The debate on the no-trust vote continued on the final day of the Winter session. The session was held for 16 straight hours during which lot of allegations were exchanged between the ruling party and the opposition parties. YSR Congress Paty MLA visited the Assembly for the first time and spoke on the occasion. At about 1:00 in the night, the voting started. The Government has defeated the no-confidence motion 160-122.
