President Pratibha Patil's visit to West Asia 2010

President Prathiba Patil is on a nine day visit to UAE and Syria in November 2010. She will visit Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE, and Damascus and Aleppo in Syria during her visit. This is President Prathiba Patil's first State visit to a Gulf nation and the first visit by an Indian President to Syria.

She arrived in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of United Arab Emirates on November 22, 2010.

On November 23, the President addressed the students and faculty at the Abu Dhabi Indian School in Abu Dhabi. She asked the expatriate Indian students to learn from the experiences of Mahatma Gandhi.
