Air China is the official carrier for the 2008 Summer Olympics. As many as 60,000 Motorola TETRA radios were in use by various agencies in China to support the games.

China Mobile is an official partner of the games.

In June 09, the Chinese Government declared the Games has generated a profit of more than one billion yuan (146 million dollars).
