About Montek Singh Ahuwalia

Montek Singh Ahuwalia is a noted economist and is the Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission. Ahuwalia who assumed the post in 2004, has also worked as an additional secretary to former premier Rajiv Gandhi between 1985 and 1990.

He also served in the World Bank for three years.
