Air Chief Marshal P V Naik (Born: July 22, 1949) is Indian Chief of Air Staff.

Professional Biography

Naik was commissioned in the fighter stream on June 21, 1969. During his distinguished career of 38 years in Air Force, he has flown all MiG-21 variants and MiG-23-BNs. Naik has held many important command and staff appointments. For his distinguished service he was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal on January 26, 2003 and appointed Honorary ADC to the President of India with effect from July 25, 2007. He took charge as the Vice Chief of the Air Staff on January 1, 2008.
