About Admiral Sureesh Mehta

Admiral Sureesh Mehta is the former Chief of the Indian Navy. He is suceeded by Vice Admiral Nirmal Verma who took over as new Navy Chief on August 31, 2009.

In October 08, Mehta said that the ministerial committee report on anomalies in the Sixth Pay Commission concerning the armed forces will be available within a fortnight.
