Unmukt Chand is the captain of the Indian cricket team that played in the U-19 World Cup in Australia. He led the team to victory in the final defeating hosts Australia. Unmukt Chand scored an unbeaten 111 in the final.


Unmukt Chand is honored with Castrol Junior Cricketer of the Year award for the year 2011.

Unmukt Chand is a student of the St Stephen's college, where he is studying Bachelor of Arts. He is likely to miss his first year examinations since he has failed to put in the minimum attendance of 33.33% as per the University rules.
