Professional Biography

Kevin Pietersen has made his international debut in 2004 against Zimbabwe in Harare. He has scored 4,184 runs at an average of 41.84 in one-day internationals and averages 37.93 in international t20 cricket.

On May 31, 2012 Kevin Pietersen has announced retirement from all forms of international limited cricket including One Day Internationals and Twenty20. He said that he would like to be treated as a specialist test cricketer. Kevin Pietersen has played 127 ODIs and 36 T20s for England.

South African tour to England - 2008

South African batting great Barry Richards said Pietersen will be Proteas No.1 target when the South African cricket team will take on England in a Test series. Speaking on Pietersen, England opener Alastair Cook said Sledging Pietersen may prove very costly for South Africa
and that they will only get revenge with the bat. Pietersen said that he felt his century against South Africa is as good as winning the Ashes.
