MDNA Tour


Madonna

In June 2012, Madonna went on a 86-date world tour. This is the ninth concert tour for Madonna. She promotes her 12th studio album MDNA during the tour and will visit Asia, Europe and the Americas. Madonna took her son Rocco Ritchie and daughter Lourdes Ciccone along with her on the tour.

Family Help

Madonna has given her children specific jobs to do on the tour. Lourdes is in charge of fashion and wardrobe and is responsible for picking outfits for at least 10 of the dancers. Rocco is doing a series of break dances and singing on a few tracks. However, the two were reported to be very competitive and have tried to out-do each other causing Madonna some problems.

Israel Gig

Madonna kicked off the world tour in Israel. Madonna took a dig at Lady Gaga saying that 'Born This Way' sounds a lot like her album 'Express Yourself'. Lady Gaga denied to bring herself into the verbal fight saying that she has more important things to do rather than fight back.

Madonna's son Rocco Ritchie made his debut in Tel Aviv. He got some extended cameos on the tour. While performing the gig, Madonna depicted France's far-Right National Front party leader, Marine Le Pen as a Nazi. This angered the politician who threatened to sue her.

Abu Dabhi Gig

Madonna had planned to perform the Abu Dhabi gig without any air conditioners. She told her crew to switch off the air conditioners despite their warnings that overheat and exhaustion could collapse her.

The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi launched a package to see Madonna perform live during her first visit to the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai

Madonna was booed on the stage at the Dubai gig when he made her fans wait for the show for nearly tow hours in 40C heat. It is pretty rare for Madonna to be treated this way according to a source.

Istanbul Gig

Madonna did a controversial act on stage in the MDNA tour when she flashed her breasts in front of 55,000 shocked fans. The singer wore a white shirt, a yuppie pair of pinstripe trousers and wielded a cane before she began stripping. She received a lot of criticism for the act saying that she is too old to pull off such stunts.

Italy Gig

While giving a live performance in Italy, Madonna flashed her bottom to the audience. Madonna was wearing a pinstriped trousers, black lingerie and fishnet-clad derriere at the event. She had words 'No Fear' written on her back.

US Gig

Madonna kicked off the American leg of her MDNA Tour at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on August 28, 2012. She asked her fans to respect the freedom they have. Madonna performed several of her hit songs including the latest hits from her MDNA album.

New Orleans

Madonna drew boos from the crowd in New Orleans when she asked them to vote for Barack Obama in the presidential election. Some of the concert goers even staged a walk out on her "MDNA Tour". The incident happened on 27 October 2012.
