Cyrus Mistry

Cyrus Mistry is the Chairman of the diversified conglomerate Tata Group.

He succeeded Ratan Tata as the Chairman of the Tata Group when Ratan Tata retired on 28 December 2012.

Mistry's family firm Shapoorji Pallonji owns 18 per cent of Tata Sons and is the group's largest shareholder after the Tata Trusts. He is the brother-in-law of Noel Tata, Ratan Tata's half brother.

Cyrus Mistry earlier served as the managing director for Shapoorji Pallonji's construction business for 17 years. The business grew from a turnover of $ 20 million to approximately $ 1.5 billion.
