About Tata Nano

Tata Nano is an upcoming car from Tata Motors. The company aims at developing a car that can be priced at an affordable price for the middle-class family. Priced at near to Rs. 1 Lakh a car, Tata Motors dreams to become one of the most successful small car manufacturer across the globe.

Tata Nano release date

In February 09, Tata announced it will put Nano on road on March 23, 2009 in Mumbai and booking will start from April 09.

Tata Nano bookings

Tata Motors has tied up with leading Indian banks who came forward to arrange loans to prospective Tata Nano customers. However, a section of people who opted for them felt the process is not standard, often cumbersome and had lacked a standard pricing system across banks. As many as 30,000 outlets have been picked to accept Tata Nano bookings. Indian Two-wheeler leader Hero Honda said that Tata Nano will not bring its two-wheer market down.

Post launch

Reports in September 09 suggest Tata Nano is a hit in the second hand market too with the car being sold as soon as it was put for display and that too at a premium of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000.
