About Saab Automobile AB

Saab Automobile AB is a renowned car market in Europe. The company is indirectly owned by General Motors. When GM filed for bankruptcy, Saab too filed for bankruptcy in Europe. Swedish car maker Koenigsegg express interest in acquiring Saab. Analysts expressed concerns if Christian von Koenigsegg can run a company of the size of Saab considering he has no prior experience in running such a large-size company. On June 17, 2009, a senior Swedish government official said they are not yet clear if Koenigsegg needs any loan guarantees or not. Meanwhile, creditors of the company approved for settling its debts by paying 25% of what was owed. In November 09, the deal was put-off after it was unable to make a financial agreement with the Swedish Government. GM on the other hand continued to have its four German factories open and running as part of its European operations restructuring.
