Rushdie's ancestral bungalow in Delhi

The Supreme Court has ordered Salman Rushdie to honor his father Anis Ahmed Rushdie's agreement to sell his bungalow at 4, Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines to the then Congress leader Bhiku Ram Jain. The agreement was made in December 1970.

The court has asked Bhiku Ram Jain's heirs to pay the market value of the bungalow which costs around Rs. 100 crore. The sale agreement was made in December 1970 to sell the 5373 square yards bungalow at 4, Flagstaff Road, Civil Lines at a cost of Rs. 3.75 lakh.

Professional Career

In November 2007, Rushdie arrived at an investors party dressed as evil Darth Vader of Star Wars.
