Nicholas Hugh Minchin (born 15 April 1953), Australian politician, has been a Liberal member of the Australian Senate since July 1993, representing South Australia. Minchin is the current Senate leader of the Liberal Party. On 24 March 2010, Minchin announced that he was stepping down from his Shadow Ministry and Senate leadership positions and would retire at the expiration of his term on 30 June 2011.
