Rooney Mara

Patricia Rooney Mara is an American film and television actress. She is known for her performance in the 2011 movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama.

Rooney Mara made her acting debut in 2005. She starred in films like A Nightmare On Elm Street and The Social Network. She is the younger sister of actress Kate Mara.

Professional Career

Rooney Mara was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

In January 2012, Rooney Mara revealed that she is worried about getting fame as it could be harmful to her abilities.

Rooney Mara played the role of gothic styled computer genius Lisbeth Salander in the film. She revealed that things moved pretty fast on the set of the movie and has practiced sex scenes with Daniel Craig on their first meeting.

Rooney Mara will star in Steven Soderbergh's 'Side Effects'. In January 2012, it was revealed that Rooney Mara has replaced Blake Lively. Jude Law, Channing Tatum and Catherine Zeta-Jones are also starring in the movie.
