Jennifer Hudson is an American actress and Singer. In February 2010, reports emerged that Hudson and John Legend are teaming up for her new album. She is a Season 3 contestant on American Idol.
Hudson grew up on Chicago's South Side.
Tragedy struck Hudson when her mother, brother and nephew are murdered in October 2008. The shot death of mother and brother on October 24, 2008 at her Chicago residence stems from domestic abuse and William Balfour, Hudson's brother-in-law and the prime suspect behind the double murder and kidnapping, has been taken into custody.
