Dame Helen Lydia Mirren, DBE is an English actor. Mirren has won an Academy Award, four BAFTAs, three Golden Globes, four Emmy Awards, and two Cannes Film Festival Best Actress Awards. In 2003, she was made a Dame for services to the performing arts at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

She has an Oscar nomination at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards under the Actress in a Leading Role category for her role in the movie The Last Station.

    Mirren is married to Film Director Taylor Hackford in 1997 after an 11-year romance. She is in recent news when stepped out in a skimpy bikini while holidaying in Italy. Speaking at an interview, she said she almost quit acting after marriage.

    Helen uses accessories designed by Lana J. Marks of Lana Marks brand.

    She has the phobia of speaking over the phone.

    In November 08, she slammed for calling female jurors less sympathetic towards rape victims. Lawyer General Vera Baird QC slammed Helen's claims as "ignorant and absurd". She said she no longer feels sexy.

    Mirren confessed she thinks marriage was not such a bad idea after all.

    She feels women should go for facelifts if they make them feel better about themselves.

    As an actress

    Mirren has kept a rather sexy memento to remember her The Tempest co-star Russell Brand-his underwear, and she got into his pants, literally. She says she was at ease while shooting steamy love scene for director husband Taylor Hackford's new flick Love Ranch.

    Mirren wept when she realised that she had to wear tweed skirts and brown shoes for her role in the film. She won an Academy Award for her depiction of Queen Elizabeth II in 2006. In July 2010, she dismissed reports that she's set to reprise the role in a new film about Indira Gandhi.

    Hollywood Walk of Fame honor

    Helen Mirren is honoured with a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. She will unveil her star on 3 January 2013. The star will be 2488th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her pavement plaque will be placed next to 'The King's Speech' star Colin First and is placed right in front of The Pig N' Whistle Pub in Hollywood Boulevard.
