Personal Biography

Cate is married to playwright hubby Andrew Upton in 1997 and is a proud mother of three children. She said that she would be keen on recapturing the moments of D-day since she had no photographs to revisit her memories and that she would love to remarry.

She and 42 other artists supported an Oz artist over nude adolescent photos and said censoring the art work in such a negative way will only damage Australia's cultural reputation.

In December 08, she talked of a possible name change to Ethel upon a fan request.
