Hollywood actor Tom Hanks has surprised millions of viewers when he dropped the F-word during a live broadcast of "Good Morning America" on 19 October 2012. Hanks was speaking of his upcoming movie "Cloud Atlas" in which he speaks in a British accent. When the anchor Elizabeth Vargas asked to speak in his British accent, he said that most of them are swear words and he spoke an obscene word. Both Hanks and anchor Vargas covered their mouths in shock and both apologized immediately.

Tom Hanks, also apologized later Friday on his Twitter page. ABC later released a statement, which read "This morning Tom Hanks accidentally used an expletive during a live interview on 'GMA' with Elizabeth Vargas. They both immediately apologized on air, and the show was corrected for the all subsequent feeds."
