Season four premiere of 'Game of Thrones' sets record with 6.6 million viewers

  • A total of 8.2 million people watched the premiere episode including two replays later on Sunday. The hit TV show averages a gross audience of 14.4 million per episode.
  • The TV shows a hit on Internet too as BitTorrent recorded more than 1 million downloads in half a day. At least 300,000 people were watching simultaneously at one point.
