Gwen Stefani set to join The Voice

  • Gwen Stefani is close to making a deal to replace Christina Aguilera in the NBC's hit show "The Voice" for the upcoming seventh season.
  • The deal is likely to go through as soon as Aguilera bows out of the show due to pregnancy. She will likely to be in her eighth or ninth month of pregnancy when the Season 8 begins.
  • Stefani will replace Aguilera for the next seson on a one-season deal. Aguilera is set to return for the following spring season.
  • Stefani will join new coach Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Pharrell Williams is set to replace Cee Lo Green.
  • Producers for The Voice started looking for Aguilera's replacement in February. Though the producers asked her to stay, Aguilera opted out.
  • The taping for Season 7 of The Voice begins in June.
  • Gwen Stefani first came into limelight as the lead singer of the rock-pop group No Doubt. The group made six albums together and sold over 33 million albums worldwide.
  • Gwen Stefani is married to Bush guitarist and lead singer Gavin Rossdale. The couple has three children.
