'Green Mile' actor Michael Clarke Duncan dies at 54

'Green Mile' actor Michael Clarke Duncan has died Monday morning in a Los Angeles hospital. He was admitted to the hospital on July 13 following a heart attack.

His fiancee Omarosa Manigault informed about his death in a statement via Duncan's publicist Joy Fehily. The exact cause of death is not yet known. According to the statement, Duncan suffered a heart attack on July 13 and has never fully recovered.

Michael Clarke Duncan has appeared in several hit Hollywood films including Green Mile, Armageddon, Planet of the Apes and Kung Fu Panda. He did some minor roles before his performance in Green Mile gained him worldwide recognition in 1999 and fetched him an Academy Award nomination. Duncan played the role of John Coffey, a convicted murdered in the movie.
