July 16, 2012 - Mumbai

Indian filmmaker Karan Johar is invited to the 2012 London Olympics. The Britain's national tourism agency has invited Karan Johan for the Olympics games that will be held form July 27 to August 12. The filmmaker is the goodwill ambassador for 'Britain You're Invited' campaign.

Karan Johan will join the 506 dignitaries present who will enjoy special privilege to watch the opening ceremony. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is the other Indian to be invited for the Olympic Games. Manmohan is being invited by UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

Karan Johan expressed his happiness over the invitation. He said: "I'm truly humbled and excited, of the honour.
