Charlie Sheen scores big with Anger Management

Charlie Sheen scored big on the premiere episode of his new sitcom Anger Management. It was Charlie Sheen's first sitcom appearance on TV after he was fired from the Two and a Half Men following his melt down last year.

The premiere of Anger Management made a new record as the most-watched sitcom premiere (excluding kids programming) with over 5.5 million viewers. Anger Management premiered on FX Thursday which aired two two episode's on the opening day. The first episode attracted 5.5 million viewers, while the second drew 5.7 million. The show also helped season premieres of Wilfried and Louie which drew 2.5 million and 1.4 million respectively.

Coming to the top broadcast networks, NBC had a good week scoring the top four programs – the first three being America's Got Talent and US Olympic Trials. They are followed by CBS's 60 Minutes.

With the numbers out for Anger Management, Charlie Sheen could now proudly say, he is winning. Anger Management is based on a 2003 movie of the same name. It stars Charlie Sheen, Selma Blair, Shwanee Smith and Michael Arden.
