Transsexual teenager appears in court for stealing Katie Price's identity

October 15, 2011 - London

A Lincolnshire transsexual teenager, who has been charged with stealing Katie Price's identity and fooling bank staff into handing over cash, has appeared in court.

According to the CCTV footage, Kerry Marshall, impersonating her idol, went to a bank posing as Price and helped herself to 9,000 pounds of the 33-year-old's money, and later returned to the bank to make two further withdrawals of 2,500 pounds, the Daily Star reported.

The 18-year-old allegedly used the cash to buy clothes on luxury shopping trips and is also said to have splashed out on a top-of-the-range sports car.

The former glamour model became aware of the alleged fraud when she was shopping in Brighton and three of her credit cards were declined on the trip.

Marshall, who previously went under the name Tyler Meadows, has been charged with stealing the model's identity and faces three offences of fraud by false representation and was arrested under her new female name.

The case was adjourned for committal to Lincoln Crown Court in November, and Lincoln magistrates have refused an application for her bail, reprimanding her into the city's Victorian male prison, instead.
