Memorial service held for late 'Jackass' star Ryan Dunn

June 24, 2011 - Washington

It has emerged that the late Ryan Dunn's close friends and family held a private memorial service for the 'Jackass' star.

The relatives of the 34-year-old daredevil - who died when his Porsche veered off road, crashed into a tree and burst into flames on Monday (20.06.11) - were joined by pals, including 'Jackass' co-stars Bam Margera and Johnny Knoxville and 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' stars Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney, at the four-hour 'celebration' of his life in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Dunn's family flew to West Chester from Ohio and Florida to plan his funeral but the star is expected to be buried in Ohio where he was born.

"We are devastated by the loss. Ryan will be greatly missed, but he will forever be in our hearts," Contactmusic quoted a family member as saying.

The memorial was held at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd funeral home ahead of the funeral which will be held later this week with a public memorial due to take place at a later date.
