How Cher's insistence saved choreographer friend's life

November 4, 2011 - Washington

Choreographer Doriana Sanchez insists that pop star Cher saved her life.

Sanchez had recently slipped and fell onstage while working with Cher during her Las Vegas tour, but the choreographer realised something was terribly wrong with her after she fainted in the singer's house.

She further stated that Cher wanted her to visit her personal medic, neurosurgeon Dr. Neil Martin at the Ucla hospital, and it was only then that the dancer got to know that her health woes were much worse than she had expected.

"As the months went by, it got worse. I started losing the use of my whole left side. Cher told me she wanted me to see her spine specialist," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Star magazine.

Dr. Martin diagnosed Sanchez with a Brain Tumour and she had to undergo surgery to remove the mass.

"Before surgery, we did our secret prayer that we do before Cher's shows... Cher was by my side the whole time. I wouldn't be here without her," she added.
