Fans' expectations keep Robert Pattinson away from theatre stage

May 6, 2011 - Washington

Known for his character of Edward Cullen in 'Twilight', Robert Pattinson is all excited to work in a London West End stage show but worries 'Twilight' fans would spoil the experience.

"I'd really, really love to do a play in London but I'd just be afraid it would turn into an 'N Sync concert. Or people would come along expecting it to be like 'Twilight' " Contactmusic quoted him as telling Elle Magazine.

Pattinson thinks his 'Twilight' fans would come to the shows expecting him to be just like his vampire character Edward Cullen.

According to him, the audience with its expectations to view a spectacular success on stage acts as a 'push' to the actors.

"When I go to premieres, it's more like the crowd is pulling, really wanting something from you," he said.

"I always feel completely drained afterwards. It would be very strange and exhausting to have that kind of experience every night on stage," he added.ANI)
