Chris Brown forced to postpone UK tour

London, American RnB singer Chris Brown has postponed his UK tour after he was denied visa for assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna.

London, American RnB singer Chris Brown has postponed his UK tour after he was denied visa for assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown was expected to perform his first concert in Glasgow but promoters said that the tour would now be rescheduled.

The 21-year-old singer was ordered six months of community service in August 2009. He was put on probation for five years and also ordered to attend a domestic violence programme, reports The Sun.

Brown was to perform in Birmingham, Manchester and London after his Glasgow gig.

After submitting the application on June 1, Brown learned that he has been denied visa. "We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone guilty of a serious criminal offence. Public safety is one of our primary concerns," A statement from the Home Office said.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances the tour is postponed. People should hold on to their tickets. There will be more news of possible rearranged dates," promoters SJM said.
