Anglo-Welsh actor and ex-footballer Vinnie Jones has earned the support and backing of his close pal film director Quentin Tarantino in Celebrity Big Brother.
London, Jan 8 : Anglo-Welsh actor and ex-footballer Vinnie Jones has earned the support and backing of his close pal film director Quentin Tarantino in Celebrity Big Brother.
Jones, 45, had become friendly with Tarantino, 46, after they first met in 2007, when the actor invited the director to his place for a barbecue.
And now the Oscar winner believes that his neighbour and friend will definitely come out the winner of the show.
"If the winner is judged on personality and character, then Vinnie can be the only winner," the Sun quoted Tarantino as saying.
"He is one of the most charismatic guys in Hollywood and people who know him not only know that he is a fantastic person but that he has a heart of pure gold. I'm honoured to call him my friend," he said.
Tarantino also believes that Jones has taken on the challenge of CBB for all the right reasons.
"People often put themselves forward for reality shows because they are broke or want to revive their career, but Vinnie is neither of those things," he said.
"He is going to get some time away from worrying about his son Aaron," he said of Jones' 18-year-old son, who is now serving in Afghanistan.
"He is very proud of not only Aaron but all his family, but like any other father he worries - that is only natural.
"I don't know about the other contestants, but Vinnie Jones is a real superstar," he added.
