Johnny Depp says Sexiest Man Alive title confuses him

Johnny Depp has revealed that he initially thought his 2009 title of People magazines Sexiest Man Alive was a joke.

London, Jan 19 : Johnny Depp has revealed that he initially thought his 2009 title of People magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' was "a joke".

The Pirates of the Caribbean star, who previously bagged the honour in 2003, reclaimed the title after topping the list last year.

Depp beat off competition from 2008 winner Hugh Jackman, but has now admitted that he doesn't consider himself worthy of the accolade.

"That should be someone else, that confuses me beyond recognition. I don't know how to react. I really thought it was a joke," the Daily Express quoted Depp as telling a foreign news agency.
