Julie Andrews not part of book series Flanimals

British comedian Ricky Gervais has dismissed reports that actress/singer Julie Andrews is set to do voice over for the lead character of his childrens book series Flanimals.

London, Feb 2 : British comedian Ricky Gervais has dismissed reports that actress/singer Julie Andrews is set to do voice over for the lead character of his children's book series 'Flanimals'.

Gervais, 48, teamed up with Matt Selman, a writer for 'The Simpsons', to create a 3-D animated version based on his four hit books, which are all based in a world of outlandish, imaginary creatures.

The actor has approached several top Hollywood stars to work on the project, but insists the 'Sound of Music' legend isn't one of them.

"Julie Andrews isn't involved - that's a myth. I don't know where that came from," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

"I'm certainly looking at the big boys for this. I would like to pitch to people like Ben Stiller and Jack Black, really good comic performers. I have characters in mind for them," he added.
