Brazilian model Maria Gomez is said to have created frenzy in Bollywood circles after her debut appearance in Teen Patti (Leena Yadav) and many filmmakers are reportedly trying to reach her after she left for Brazil.


Nevada (US), Feb 16 : Brazilian model Maria Gomez is said to have created frenzy in Bollywood circles after her debut appearance in Teen Patti (Leena Yadav) and many filmmakers are reportedly trying to reach her after she left for Brazil.

Her talent has been reportedly compared with Oscar nominated Salma Hayek (Frida) after she made a mark with this song, following selection among about 50 girls in an audition. She reportedly wants to do interesting acting roles in Bollywood in the future.About four minutes long "Neeyat" song was sung by Sunidhi Chauhan on the lyrics of Irfan Siddique, while choreographer was Ashley Lobo and music director Salim-Sulaiman. Besides Gomez, it was also filmed on Amitabh Bachchan and R. Madhavan. Besides Bollywood megastar Bachchan (Black), "Teen Patti" also stars Oscar winner Ben Kingsley (Gandhi).

Other Brazilian beauties like Giselli Monteiro (Love Aaj Kal) and Bruna Abdallah (Cash) have already landed Bollywood projects. "Dhoom 2" (Sanjay Gadhvi) was shot in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

A love story showcasing India's culture and lifestyle, "Caminho das Mndias" (A Passage to India), was a popular Brazilian television soap opera by Brazil's largest TV channel "TV Globo", which proved to be one of the Brazil's highest-rated programs and it created a stir with its record audience rates.

Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed has welcomed this cultural bonding of India and Brazil and hoped more collaboration between entertainment industries of both countries.

Zed, who is chairperson of Indo-American Leadership Confederation, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, urged India and Brazil governments to provide incentives for cultural exchanges.

South America's most influential nation and economic giant Brazil houses vast rain forests. Planet's most multidimensional country, India is known as emerging world power, fast growing economy, largest democracy, etc.
