Rihanna has said that the level of media attention she received in the wake of the Chris Brown-attack was something she never saw coming.
Washington, Nov 4 : Rihanna has said that the level of media attention she received in the wake of the Chris Brown-attack was something she never saw coming.
In an interview with Glamour magazine, the 'Umbrella' star said that she was overwhelmed by the media attention she got after Brown, 20, assaulted her before the Grammy Awards kicked off in Los Angeles.
"I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day," CBS News quoted her as saying in Glamour's December issue.
Named "Woman of the Year" by Glamour, the 21-year-old Barbadian singer also admitted that she was humiliated when a photo of her swollen, bruised and bloodied face was leaked to the media.
"It was humiliating: that is not a photo you would show to anybody. I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it's my life," she said.
