Mickey Rourke, Charlie Sheen, and several other people from business and sports worlds are said to be among the clients of top Hollywood madam Michelle Braun, who is due to be arraigned today in federal court in Santa Ana, California, as part of an agreement to cooperate fully with all branches of law enforcement.
New York, May 11 : Mickey Rourke, Charlie Sheen, and several other people from business and sports worlds are said to be among the clients of top Hollywood madam Michelle Braun, who is due to be arraigned today in federal court in Santa Ana, California, as part of an agreement to "cooperate fully" with all branches of law enforcement.
All these names have turned up in records provided to authorities, though no one has been accused of any wrongdoing as yet.
Braun aka "Nici", who was in the business for 15 years, was caught in October 2007, when an FBI agent posing as a "Platinum Club member" lured her into violating the Mann Act by transporting a woman - identified in court papers as "J.C." - from California to New York City.
Private investigator Dan Hanks got to know Braun while working for "Fox Undercover".
"Michelle would ask me to do background checks on potential clients and girls, which I did in order to find out more about her," the New York Daily News quoted Hanks as saying.
"I don't know that Mickey Rourke was a client," said Hanks. "Michelle may have just wanted him as one."
Braun had told Rolling Stone that Sheen once gave her a 20,000-dollar check for an evening with four girls.
"I once saw a very expensive painting at her condo. She said, 'That's a gift from Charlie Sheen,'" recalls Hanks.
Hanks revealed that Braun had once turned down a job to join Courtney Love and her boyfriend for a threesome.
He said that Braun had also requested information on former Yankee Jose Canseco.
"I've heard of her. But I've never paid for sex in my life. She might have been trying to recruit me," said Canseco.
Braun's clientele also includes Jeff Kwatinetz, who managed the Backstreet Boys and Kelly Clarkson, Turkish cell phone billionaire Hakan Uzan, hedge fund manager Mark Yagalla and mortgage brokerage tycoon Michael Fanghella.
