The latest installment of Warner Brothers new The Final Destination has topped the weekend box office after raking in 28.3 million dollars.

Washington, Aug 31 : The latest installment of Warner Brothers' new 'The Final Destination' has topped the weekend box office after raking in 28.3 million dollars.

According to studio estimates, Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglourious Basterds' came second with 20 million dollars.

'Halloween 2' landed the third spot with 17.4 million dollars while 'District 9' stood fourth with 10.7 million dollars, reports E! Online.

Sienna Miller's 'G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra' rounded off the top five with 8 million dollars.

The weekend's top-grossing films are:

1. The Final Destination, $28.3 million

2. Inglourious Basterds, $20 million

3. Halloween 2, $17.4 million

4. District 9, $10.7 million
