Troubled English singer Amy Winehouses mother-in-law Georgette Civil has blasted the singers father and record company for making her work when she is so seriously ill.
London, Sept 2 : Troubled English singer Amy Winehouse's mother-in-law Georgette Civil has blasted the singer's father and record company for making her work when she is so "seriously ill".
Winehouse, 24, was supposed to headline the Rock En Seine show in Paris on August 29, but she had to cancel it just hours before it started because she was unwell.
Georgette Civil, 46, who is a hair salon boss, spoke out as the diva faced legal action for her no-show and while she is recovering at her north London home.
"Amy has serious health and drug dependency problems but she is pushed into work," the Daily Star quoted her as saying.
"Her health is more important than prancing around on stage.
"I blame her father and record company. People around her have a duty to help her before she ends up dead," she added.
