Republican presidential candidate John McCain has drawn flak about his decision to appoint Sarah Palin as his running mate from yet another celebrity - Barbra Streisand.
Washington, September 2 : Republican presidential candidate John McCain has drawn flak about his decision to appoint Sarah Palin as his running mate from yet another celebrity - Barbra Streisand.
The American singer, actress says that McCain has chosen Palin only to grab the voters who supported Hillary Clinton, the first women in history with her sights set on the White House.
"(It) sent a very clear message to America about how he views female voters," Contactmusic quoted her as writing in her blog, entitled 'MCCain doesn't get it: Women are not that stupid'.
"I believe John MCCain chose Gov. Palin because he truly believes that women who supported Hillary - an experienced, brilliant, life-long public servant - would vote for him because his Vice President has two x chromosomes," she wrote.
Earlier this week, rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs had also criticised McCain for selecting Palin as Republican vice-presidential nominee and called his decision "irresponsible".
