Baz Luhrmann had many ways of ending the story of his latest flick Australia before he settled for the films final denouement.
London, November 27 : Baz Luhrmann had many ways of ending the story of his latest flick 'Australia' before he settled for the film's final denouement.
The 'Moulin Rouge!' director had been recently speculated to have dropped the original final moments after disastrous reviews from test screenings that dubbed it too depressing, reports the Daily Express.
The Aussie producer, whose period epic film stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, had denied the allegations insisting that the studio heads would be far from controlling his work.
However, Luhrmann admitted that he did struggle in deciding the finale after having scripted a series of ideas on how to end the tale.
He told the New York Daily News: "I really don't want the other endings spoken about. There was another where Jackman and Kidman got married. I also shot a scene where the boy comes back and everybody's old."
