Melbourne, Nov 26 : Late Hollywood actor Heath Ledger's father Kim broke down in tears at GQ Men of the Year Awards as he accepted the best actor prize for his late son.
The father of '10 Things I Hate About You' actor was extremely emotional as his late son was honored for his 'Joker' role in 'The Dark Knight'.
The Perth-based businessman was reduced to tears as he uttered his pride in his "beautiful boy", accepting the award on behalf of "his little one Matilda and our family."
"He thrived everyday on set, humoured and sometimes intimidated the cast, but revelled in this opportunity to create and deliver a unique character ... and that he did," The Daily Telegraph quoted Kim Ledger, as saying.
Kim Ledger brought to light the fact that Heath counted The Joker role as his "best yet."
Hugh Jackman won the title of People's Choice Man Of The Year and Baz Luhrmann won a nod as Creative Force Of The Year at the star-studded event.
