The concert comes three weeks before Mandela's actual birthday, and proceeds will go to his charity, 46664, which helps people affected by HIV and AIDS.

46664 was Mandela's prisoner number during his 27-year incarceration (which ended in 1990) by South Africa's apartheid regime.Organisers have promised further stars on the bill, with "several major artists keeping silent about their involvement in order to take both Mr Mandela and the audience by surprise", a statement said.
