Washington, May 6 : Kristin Davis has revealed that she turned to alcohol during her early 20s in order to boost her confidence level.
The 'Sex And The City' star regularly drank alcohol because she was extremely shy and wanted to be an extrovert.
"Alcohol freed me. I was really shy and I didn't know how to come out of my shell. I drank for the same reason I loved acting. I wanted to feel things and express myself and be free. And I'm not naturally that way," Contactmusic quoted Davis, as saying.
However, Davis immediately realised that alcohol would not be a great solution for her lack of confidence.
"I don't drink and I've never smoked. They are bad for your skin and health," she added.
