Michael Jackson pulled the plug on a huge TV comeback after suffering from a bout of - stage-fright.

London, May 30 : Michael Jackson pulled the plug on a huge TV comeback after suffering from a bout of - stage-fright.

The King of Pop was due to sing live on the final of American Idol in front of a TV audience of 27 million.

However, just 24 hours before the show, he decided he was not ready as yet, reports The Sun.

"I can't do it. Everyone will hate me," Jackson is said to have said.

A source revealed that it was indeed stage-fright that made Jackson cancel the gig.

"This was his big chance but he got stage-fright," the source said.
