In fact, in a statement released by the firm's Chinese office, the 'Basic Instinct' actress has even apologised for her comment at the red carpet at Cannes, where she linked the natural calamity to Beijing's policy on Tibet.
She said that she was "deeply sorry" that her remarks hurt the sentiments of the Chinese people.
"Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people. I am willing to take part in the relief work of China's earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people," BBC quoted the actress, as saying in the statement.
However, her apology has not prevented from her being dropped from Christian Dior's Chinese adverts.
The firm's China branch seems to be distancing itself from Stone's remarks.
"We don't agree with her hasty, unreflecting remarks and we deeply regret them. We absolutely do not support any remark that hurts the Chinese people's feelings," said the firm in a Chinese-language statement.
