Boy George reduced to selling £10 T-shirts

English singer Boy George was caught selling T-shirts for 10 pounds a piece at an East End market stall.

London, May 17 : English singer Boy George was caught selling T-shirts for 10 pounds a piece at an East End market stall.

The singer, whose real name is George Alan O'Dowd, is going through a very bad patch in life, having suffered a fall from grace in the years gone by and also battling his heroin addiction.

When he was seen at the stall, the 46-year-old 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?' singer looked very bored and miserable as he tried to peddle his wear from a battered trestle table.

Wearing dark glasses and a shapeless hoodie, George made quite a picture with his baldhead and his slumped posture at the Spitalfields Market, East London.

On the table were the 10 pounds T-shirts, vests and hooded tops, which were all emblazoned with his B-Rude label, and one of the shirts carried a slogan saying "Paris Hilton S*cks".

"It's been all right - quiet today though. I'm bored and cold but we have to do a Friday stall to get a pitch on Sunday," the Sun quoted him as saying. He has come a long way from being the singer who sold more than ten million records in the 1980s with flamboyant group Culture Club.

In 2006 George was made to sweep the streets of New York on a community service order from a judge, after he falsely reported a break-in at his Manhattan flat, where cops found cocaine.

He also faces trial in November for allegedly assaulting and imprisoning a male escort, who he has also been accused of chaining to a wall in his East London flat.
