According to the New York Daily News, one of Carey's assistants recently called chic baby boutique Petit Tresor.
A source tells the paper that the assistant asked the LA store for fabric samples, and also checked whether its designer could work on a butterfly theme for the room.
Mariah's manager, Benny Medina, however insists that the singer is not pregnant at the moment.
Carey wed 27-year-old Cannon on April 30, and three weeks ago told OK! magazine though she was in no hurry to start a family, having children is "part of the whole purpose of getting married."
