The rumours that Foster was having a relationship with the 54-year-old film producer had become public recently, although those in Hollywood, who are close to Foster, had known about the 14-year relationship for many years.
It was only lately that the Panic Room star has become more open about her love, reportedly telling a crowd of Hollywood stars in a speech of her domestic situation in December.
The 45-year-old actress stated that she was very grateful to have Bernard around and even thanked her for it at an awards ceremony."My beautiful Cydney, who sticks by me through all the rotten and the bliss," the New York Daily News quoted her as, saying.
But it does not matter if their relationship is made public or kept private, as according to the National Enquirer the two have called it quits.
The one thing that the two of them shared was parenting for Foster's two children, 9-year-old Charlie and 6-year-old Kit.
