Im not going to lie, Im a cheap date, says Duffy

Welsh singer songwriter of soul music Amie Anne Duffy or Duffy as she is known, has revealed that she is a very cheap date.

London, May 12 : Welsh singer songwriter of soul music Amie Anne Duffy or Duffy as she is known, has revealed that she is a very cheap date.

Even with a No1 album, a No1 single and a bank balance that is growing, Duffy admitted that her dating demands are far from extravagant.

"I get p***ed on two glasses of wine. I'm not going to lie, I'm a cheap date," the Sun quoted her as saying.

The 23-year-old singer had stolen the show at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Maidstone, Kent. She was very confident for her set on Saturday May 10, where she mesmerized the crowd by bursting into Madonna's song Borderline.

"Doing a Madonna song is quite outrageous. I put a bit of thought into it. I think if Madonna heard it she would say, 'Oi, behave, Welsh singer bird'," she said.

"Borderline sounds like a soul song. I like the way it explains a feeling. It's about a guy I fancy. That song explains a lot. He's not here. We've got issues," she stated.

She further revealed that she is getting used to all the fame and attention that comes her way.

"At the beginning I was really careful - you know, early to bed - but now I'm used to it I push the boat out when I can.

"I can get away with four hours kip but any less than that and it's bad. It's day and game over," she added.
