Melbourne, May 01 : Canadian born actress Pamela Anderson has confirmed that she is finally an official US citizen.
Pammi was made a US citizen last week and her first official act, as a US citizen, was to join PETA's vice president at the White House Correspondents' Dinner last weekend.
"Being a citizen excites me not just because I can vote, but because I can crack the whip on Capitol Hill to defend animals," Daily Telegraph quoted Anderson as saying.
While in Washington, Anderson also hand-delivered a PETA science report to the Department of Health and Human Services.
The report condemned the U.S. government for lagging behind European nations in using modern technology and non-animal test methods rather than animal tests.
Meanwhile, Anderson was horrified by recent rumours making rounds on the Internet that she was caught eating a meat hotdog at her son's baseball game.
But she was quick to refute the rumours and to point out that both varieties of hotdogs were on sale.
